In case you haven’t seen it yet - Google has just upgraded the Google External Keyword Tool to actually return past month- and average search volume data for all keywords. Broad and Phrase Match!
Previously the Google Search Volume Tools have all been more or less rubbish but with this new one it is actually spot on. After The Lab tested it against hundreds of keywords for which they knew the exact number of visitors a site in the top position in Google would get for that keywphrase all results show that this new tool is very accurate! Like Ed Dale says;
“This is a major landmark change as Google has been very reluctant to deliver quantitative data in the past and a massive boost for internet marketers.”
